Linda Weste is Project Narrative Visiting Scholar January - May 2013. Her research investigates the interaction of poetic and narrative elements in 20th- and 21st-century verse novels and other forms of long poetic narrative. Current research utilizes the concepts and categories of cognitive narratology to explore the representation of consciousness, speech, thought, and perception within novels-in-verse.

Weste is founding director of the online narratology network for Australia and the Asia Pacific, narrAUS. The site is affiliated with the School of Culture & Communication at the University of Melbourne where Weste examines and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate creative writing theses and is a teacher of creative writing.
