Oral History Association
The Oral History Association, established in 1966, seeks to bring together all persons interested in oral history as a way of collecting human memories. With an international membership, the OHA serves a broad and diverse audience. Local historians, librarians and archivists, students, journalists, teachers, and academic scholars from many fields have found that the OHA provides both professional guidance and collegial environment for sharing information.

The British Library's Oral History Resources
The Sound Archive collects audio and videotaped interviews as well as carrying out its own programme of life story recordings. As the national centre for oral history in Britain, we provide advice and training in oral history methods and maintain close contact with oral history groups in Britain and abroad.

Center for Folklore Studies (Ohio State U)

North Carolina Language and Life Project
Since the inception of the M.A. program in Language Study and Linguistics in 1993, the program has established itself as one of the premier field-initiated research programs in language variation studies in the United States. The program of research carried out by the staff and the record of academic achievement by students have catapulted the NC State program into national and international prominence.
