Paul McCormick

Graduate Students
PhD Candidate, English

Paul McCormick is particularly interested in transmedial narratology and Chicago school rhetorical narrative theory. His publications include work on self-conscious character narration, unreliability, multimedia narratology, and narrators. He's currently completing his dissertation, "American Cinematic Novels and their Media Environments, 1925 - 2000," which combines contemporary narrative theory with media and film histories to tell the story of how American novelists engaged Hollywood cinema, at the level of story and discourse, during the twentieth century.
